Lead, Serve, Love By: Gregory E. Lang

This is a fantastic gift book for a confirmation gift, graduation, or a book you might just want to keep for yourself!  Each page in this book has a short three-word ways to help you connect to others and share the word of God.  This book is great for anyone who wants to serve the Lord in simple ways.  One example of a three-word way to serve is “Say Thank You”.  The book then explains how this is important, how to do it, and has bible verses that connect to this simple phrase.  This book gives you the “pick-up” you need and inspiration to do something to help those around you.  This is a book you could pick up every day and do one of the phrases to help you and others connect more to God.  I love how simple the author has put this book together and is very clear.  It is a very easy read and anyone could do something from this book, young and old.  I would highly recommend this book to everyone, especially if you have wanted to serve our Lord but just don’t know how to get started.

Heaven is for Real--By: Todd Burpo

One word: WOW!  This is a MUST read!!!  My mom shared this book with me when I was visiting her and I literally could not put it down!  This book is a true story about a four-year-old boy who went to heaven for “three minutes” during an emergency surgery he had for his appendices.   His parents start to unravel information about Colton’s journey to heaven through many conversations over a course of several years.  The information this little boy knows is shocking, like the fact his met his unborn sister in heaven.   (His sister was a miscarriage his mom had a hard time dealing with.)  Or learn about how Colton met his grandpa “Pop” who died before he was born.  Colton also describes Jesus and the family finds a picture that finally matches what he sees.  The picture is amazing!  The information he tells his parents is not only shocking, but inspirational!  This is a MUST read for anyone who has ever doubted or just wondered what Heaven is like.  I have always believed in God, Jesus our Savior, and heaven, but this just seals the deal.  Read about heaven through the eyes of a child and discover that “Heaven is for Real”!

The Final Summit--By: Andy Andrews

This story starts when you meet a man named David Ponder who is coping with the loss of his wife.  David is a very successful business man who lost everything in bankruptcy and regained his business again.  He is visited by the archangel Gabriel, for a second time in his life, with a mission to save humanity from God wiping the slate clean again and change humanity as we know it.  David meets several past travelers, famous folks from history like Winston Churchill, to help answer the question that will save civilization.  Will David and the other travelers answer the question God posing correctly to save the world?  You will have to pick up this wonderfully written page turner for yourself to see if David conquers this quest.  I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys suspense, loves learning about history, hearing about God’s grace and finding a book that is hard to put down.  I have not read the books prior to this one, but will after reading this!  Andrews does a fantastic job recapping events from the previous stories to help make the book flow without having the prior knowledge.  Pick this book up soon along with the others in this series: The Noticer and The Traveler's Gift.
